When New York and Paris Collide in Foxborough

When you walk into MStyle Modern Boutique, you know immediately this isn't just another clothing store. It feels curated. Personal. A little bit city chic, tucked unexpectedly across from Gillette Stadium. That's exactly what owner Michelle had in mind.

A hot pink runway cuts through the center of the store. Disco balls sparkle overhead. Hand-painted murals climb toward the ceiling. Flowers spill from every corner. There's bold artwork, fashion books, leopard print, chandeliers, velvet seating, oversized mirrors, and just enough attitude on the walls to make you feel like you stepped into a tiny slice of Manhattan across from Gillette Stadium.

Michelle says it casually now. But she built exactly that.

Her love affair with fashion started at 16. Long before social media stylists and curated closets became a thing, she was already editing her friends' wardrobes, dragging them to TJ Maxx and Marshalls, and putting together outfits they'd actually wear in real life.

"We call it a capsule wardrobe now. But I've always done that."

Around that same time, a business trip to New York City with her dad changed everything.

"I remember thinking, 'Okay, I want to have a business and go to New York City.'"

That mix of fashion, creativity, and entrepreneurship never really left her.

Through her twenties, Michelle worked in retail and real estate but somehow still became everyone's go-to stylist. She was the friend people called for honest opinions, closet clean-outs, vacation outfits, and the jeans conversation every woman eventually has.

Then life shifted. Michelle joined a traveling boutique called “The Sweater Man, bringing fashion directly to women through pop-ups and mobile shopping experiences. When COVID hit and the owner retired, she took over the business herself.

From there, things evolved. Michelle began shifting the inventory toward the modern woman who still loved fashion but wanted help making it wearable. Women who were done with fast fashion. Women who wanted confidence, styling help, and pieces that fit their actual lives.

Then she found the Foxborough space.

"It was huge. And honestly? Kind of dirty."

Most people would have seen concrete floors and blank walls. Michelle saw possibility. With the help of a close friend and visual artist, the transformation began. Together they created a boutique that feels equal parts fashion gallery, styling studio, and a really good time.

The space is unapologetically Michelle. Hand-painted murals, disco balls, flowers, hot pink woven through every corner like a love letter to the color itself. The oversized artwork and fashion-inspired décor feel curated without trying too hard, and the runway is exactly what it sounds like. A reminder that fashion is meant to be fun and that every woman who walks in deserves the spotlight. No exceptions.

For Michelle, fashion has always been tied to art.

"Art is fashion and fashion is art. You have to be a true artist to bring fashion to life."

That philosophy is what makes MStyle different. This isn't a boutique where someone hands you a top and points toward a dressing room. Michelle and her team help women build outfits, wardrobes, vacation capsules, perfectly-fitting denim collections, and everyday looks that make getting dressed easier.
